I januari 2009 fyller Macintosh 25 år. Med anledning av detta kommande jubileum ringde James Turner upp Andy Hertzfeld, en av de viktigaste personerna bakom utvecklingen av den första Macen, för en liten intervju. Resultatet går att höra (23 minuter) eller läsa och som vanligt har Andy intressanta saker att säga. Bland annat om vilka likheter och skillnader som finns mellan Apple och den nuvarande arbetsgivaren Google.
”A main dynamic going on is the platform choke that Microsoft had for so many years is slowly but inexorably eroded by the internet. Because of all of those Google applications, each one of them loosens the need to have Windows and so in that sense what Apple and Google are doing are quite complementary.”
