Längre batteritid för iPhone med iOS 4.2

Nokia Siemens har genom egen testverksamhet konstaterat att iPhone med iOS 4.2 använder en ny och mer energieffektiv metod för att hålla kontakt med mobilnätverk. Network Controlled Fast Dormancy innebär att mobilen kan behålla sin kontakt med mobilnätverket utan att ta till den ständiga omkoppling mellan vilande och aktiv anslutning som tidigare krävts. Resultatet blir snabbare respons och lägre energiförbrukning vilket resulterar i längre batteritid.
