Räkna med bråk om Intel ger Apple gräddfil

Rob Enderle på TechNewsWorld har kikat lite närmare på det ofta inte alltför problemfria förhållande Intel har till sina kunder.

Nu när Apples första Macar med Intelprocessorer snart är här (1–6 månader) så är det många av Intels gamla kunder som håller ögonen öppna. Om det visar sig att Apple får särskilt sköna villkor gentemot Intel, så får vi räkna med en hagelskur av stämningar gentemot Apple och Intel.

”Now toss in the OEMs’ belief that Intel cut two sweetheart deals with Apple, one providing discounts without ties to Intel’s brand programs and the other to get them the next generation of processors early. Add that these OEMs are watching with attorneys and AMD at the ready if they get proof that either of these situations are true and you have the ingredients for a really interesting year. I’d hate to be the person responsible for maintaining the Intel-Apple relationship. Whoever that is, my heartfelt prayers are with them this season.”

Rob har tidigare kikat igenom utsikterna för några IT–jättar som kan stöta på problem nästa år. Av dessa sex – Sony, Google, IBM, Oracle, RIM och Apple, får endast den sistnämnda riktigt goda utsikter till ett fortsatt gott år 2006.
