Apple har annonserat att årets utvecklarkonferens WWDC15 hålls 8–12 juni i San Fransisco som vanligt. Framtiden för iOS och OS X står i fokus med nya generationer av Apples kronjuveler. Årets ikon och tagline – The epicenter of change, är som alltid intressanta att försöka analysera.
John Gruber som normalt inte ägnar sig åt spekulation kring Apples mer eller mindre öppna gåtor, tror att det är Apple TV som blir central detta år. Det är inte svårt att läsa in formen för Apple TV som central i årets ikon, med appikoner och runda ikoner för Apple Watch i periferin.
En ny generation Apple TV kan mycket väl bli ett riktigt epicenter i våra hem med HomeKit tillsammans med Apple Watch, iPhone och iPad.
WWDC15 bjuder garanterat på intressanta nyheter vid sin keynotepresentation och integrationen mellan Apples produkter och operativsystem kommer säkert att snäppas upp ännu ett steg, nu när Apple Watch är på plats.
”I usually don’t play the “let’s read into the design of the Apple event announcement” game, but damned if the center of this doesn’t look like an Apple TV. And the slogan — “The Epicenter of Change” — would fit with an expanded HomeKit role for Apple TV.”
