Intels åttonde generation Core i5 och Core i7 för ultraportabla datorer ger en rejäl prestandahöjning. Med fyra processorkärnor istället för två, hanteras till exempel kodning av 4K-video rejält mycket snabbare än tidigare, utan att dra mer effekt.
Trots förbättringarna så är det inte säkert att Apple kommer att nyttja dessa nya processorer. Kanske är det generationen efter denna som blir aktuell för nästa kull MacBook från Apple.
”There’s no telling if Apple will decide to pass on these 8th gen chips or not, or possibly just use them in a few of its MacBooks. Intel last week also teased its Ice Lake processors, which are based on a 10nm instead of a 14nm process.”
