Tillgången på iPhone 3GS verkar sina på sina håll vilket tyder på att Apples billigaste iPhone är på väg ut ur sortimentet. Färska rykten säger att det blir ett skifte i modellfloran när iPhone 5 släpps och hamnar på samma pris som dagens iPhone 4S. En ny iPhone 4S 8GB tar över från dagens iPhone 4 8GB och iPhone 4 8GB blir Apples nya instegsmodell och kontantkortsalternativ efter iPhone 3 GS 8GB.
